Good Lord. We’re in the bottom of the 15th tied at 3. This is the most exhausting experience I’ve ever had watching baseball. This is one of the best baseball games I’ve ever see. So crazy.
I’ve lost track of who is even still playing and started coming up with funny ways to finish the game, including this gem:
VinnoSMC (1:26:16 AM): oh better idea
VinnoSMC (1:26:25 AM): bring in the guys
VinnoSMC (1:26:30 AM): with the lowest votes
VinnoSMC (1:26:32 AM): for every position
VinnoSMC (1:26:38 AM): and have them finish the game
VinnoSMC (1:26:52 AM): that’d be awesome
VinnoSMC (1:27:17 AM): call it the No-Star game
15 innings, four hours and fifty minutes later the MLB All-Star game over. Good Lord, what an epic, epic game.
Coverage started at 7pm, its 1:45am here and its still not over. What a great game of baseball though poorly managed, I have to say, by my hometown coach Terry Francona. But to fair its hard to give him too much crap, since who expects a game to go 15 innings?
Wow. What a game.
And I’m super-happy that JD Drew, a Red Sox player, wins the MVP award (named after a Red Sox player) in Yankee Stadium.
