Julian has officially joined The Dead Pool, posting his first short story, The Tenement. Word on the street is that Jon will be joining us soon too. For more information about these authors see the updates from 3/2/2009.

In commemoration of this event, the tag line for The Dead Pool was changed to “E Unum Pluribus“, which means “Out of one, many.” It’s incorrect Latin (the correct phrase is “Ex uno plures”) but this I liked the whole play on the US seal. Lee Child did the same thing.

The first was adding contributing authors. The following people have expressed interest in writing for The Dead Pool:

I’ve also created a new banner for the main page:

I like the whole comic book look to it. It was inspired by The Watchmen movie promos.

The Dead Pool also has a new layout called Vigilance.

I’ve changed the Facebook widget on the right side panel. Instead of a (non-fuctioning) link with my ugly mug on it you can now:
- Become A Fan of Vinny
- Become A Fan of The Dead Pool

I’ve also added my Twitter feed and the ability to follow me on Twitter.

There’s also a little sub-heading now under the main banner. These started about a week or so ago when I switched the theme to Vigilance. Former headings have been:

Blog Stats
- May 2009 is the largest month on record with 3,421 views. Our fourth consecutive 1,000+ view month
- The 18th week of 2009 was the largest week on record with 1605 views. Our ninth with 300+ views.
- Saturday May 2, 2009 was the largest single day on record with 394 views. Shattering the old record of 170.
- In May of 2009, we officially hit and surpassed the 10,00 views mark!
